For Christmas Day in Stockport, the two lowest prices are at the Ladybrook in Bramhall and the White Hart in Cheadle, both £62.95 for three courses. The Plough on the Moor in Heaton Moor serves five courses for £90, and Miller & Carter at Heaton Chapel is the dearest, at £109.95. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the 2026 Christmas Day price from the venue’s own Christmas page or menu, the child price and deposit rules where published, and the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating; every place here is rated 5. Christmas Day 2026 falls on a Friday, and most of these ask for full payment and a pre-order by early December. Two pubs people often ask about are not serving Christmas dinner: the Church Inn in Cheadle Hulme lists its kitchen as closed on Christmas Day, with the bar open 12pm to 3pm, and the Red Lion in Cheadle opens 11am to 3pm for festive drinks.

Heaton Moor and Heaton Chapel

1. Plough on the Moor, Heaton Moor Road

The Plough on the Moor is the pub at 82 Heaton Moor Road, in the middle of Heaton Moor. Its Christmas Day menu is a five-course meal for £90, with a glass of Prosecco for £6.50 extra or Champagne for £12.

It opens with seeded multigrain sourdough, then starters such as celeriac and truffle soup, prawn cocktail, chicken liver and brandy parfait or glazed goats cheese. Mains are hand-carved turkey breast, blade of beef, pan-roasted duck breast, Scottish sea trout or a vegan root vegetable Wellington, followed by British cheeses, a choice of puddings and mini mince pies.

The pub’s booking terms ask for a £25 deposit a person, with the balance and a pre-order by 1 December.

2. Miller & Carter Heaton Chapel, Wellington Road North

Miller & Carter is the steakhouse in the former Rudyard Hotel on the A6 at Heaton Chapel. Its Christmas Day menu calls itself “Luxurious Christmas Day Menu for 109.95 per person”, the highest price in this guide, and the young guest menu is from £49.95.

Mains include a turkey paupiette wrapped in prosciutto with pigs in blankets, duo of duck, black cod with king prawns, a butternut squash and chestnut roast, and 50-day-aged filet mignon or ribeye topped with scallops. Starters run from a twice-baked cauliflower and Camembert soufflé to prawn and smoked salmon cocktail.

The booking page asks for a £10 deposit a person, with full payment and a pre-order by 1 December.

Hazel Grove and Heald Green

7. The Fiveways, Macclesfield Road, Hazel Grove

The Fiveways is the Joseph Holt pub on Macclesfield Road, which the brewery describes as “a fantastic food orientated pub in Hazel Grove”. Holt’s Christmas Day menu and booking form prices three courses at £74.95 an adult and £37.45 for children 12 and under.

Starters include duck liver and port pâté and a king prawn, smoked salmon and avocado bruschetta; mains are roast turkey with pigs in blankets, beef sirloin, sea bass with king prawns, or a vegan wild mushroom, asparagus, tomato and lentil Wellington, and the meal ends with tea or coffee. 8. The Griffin, Wilmslow Road, Heald Green

The Griffin is the Joseph Holt pub on the corner of Wilmslow Road in Heald Green, which the brewery says is “just five minutes from Manchester Airport”. It is on Holt’s list of pubs taking Christmas Day bookings and serves the same menu as the Fiveways, at £74.95 an adult and £37.45 for children 12 and under.

The children’s menu has leek and potato soup or pigs in blankets and crispy chicken bites, then roast turkey, beef sirloin or a vegetable, seed and chestnut roast, and Christmas pudding or ice cream. The same terms apply: a non-refundable £10 deposit a person at booking, and the balance by Tuesday 1 December.
