Barclays is moving its Stockport branch from 1 Bridge Street into Merseyway Shopping Centre. The Bridge Street branch closes at 3pm on Friday 29 January, and a new branch opens at 4 Arden Walk, Merseyway, SK1 1PT on Monday 8 February, according to Barclays’ own branch page for Stockport.
The bank’s notice reads: “This branch will be closed from 3pm on Friday 29 January and a new branch will open nearby at 4 Arden Walk, Merseyway Shopping Centre, Stockport SK1 1PT on Monday 8 February.”
That is a gap of a week, from Saturday 30 January to Saturday 6 February, with no Barclays branch in the town centre.
