All 13 Stockport Business Awards 2026 winners: Mini Gears, Coffee Block and Stockport Advocacy among them. The night raised over £6,000 for Signpost for Carers.

A Heaton Mersey gear maker, a town centre coffee shop and a local advocacy charity were among the winners at the Stockport Business Awards 2026.

Mini Gears won Business of the Year in the largest category, for firms turning over more than £10m. Coffee Block and Stockport Advocacy won two awards each. Stockport Advocacy’s second was The Stockport Award.

More than 300 guests attended the ceremony at the Royal Nawaab Pyramid on Thursday 8 October. The awards are founded and organised by CN Chartered Accountants, which published the winners the next day. Jenny Powell presented.

£6,000 for unpaid carers

A raffle on the night raised more than £6,000 for Signpost for Carers, the awards’ charity partner. The Stockport charity supports unpaid carers of all ages across the borough. Local businesses and residents donated the prizes, the organisers said.

Cllr Micheala Meikle, the council’s cabinet member for economy, regeneration and skills, said Stockport is home to more than 13,000 businesses. “The borough has the highest five-year business survival rate in Greater Manchester, outperforming regional and national averages,” she said.
